City of Tacoma Social Media Use Policy
City-related social media tools provide an open forum for sharing and discussing City activities and events. The comments and opinions expressed by the network (friends, fans, followers) are theirs alone and do not reflect the opinions of the City of Tacoma or its employees.
Comments are reviewed after posting. Comments will not be edited by the City or its staff. However, the City of Tacoma reserves the right to remove a comment if it:
• Uses vulgar, offensive, threatening or harassing language.
• Is not related to the posted topic. The City’s social media tools are not the proper place to express opinions or beliefs not directly related to that topic.
• Promotes or opposes any person campaigning for election to a political office or any ballot proposition.
• Promotes or advertises a business or commercial transaction.
To make a public records request, contact the City Clerk’s Office at (253) 591-5361.
Comments specific to a City project or program should be submitted directly to that project or program. Contact the Media and Communications Office for assistance, questions or concerns at mco@cityoftacoma.org.
Welcome to the South Tacoma Neighborhood Planning Interactive Map!
The South Tacoma Neighborhood Plan is working with the South Tacoma neighborhood over the next 18 months to support neighborhood identity and vitality, identify a vision for the future, and then to help implement that vision over the next few years.
This interactive map is an opportunity for you to share ideas for actions that should be included in the Neighborhood Plan to help accomplish the goals that we've been hearing from you and your neighbors (see the "About" tab). These ideas could be actionable steps for South Tacoma to take right away, long term goals or policies, or anything in between. The following are the types of feedback you can provide on the map:
